So in our last post we mentioned we had a few fitness shoots lined up. Well the first one went great.

We were lucky enough to get Nicki to come along to the studio and have a few hours of relaxed shooting. We even stepped outside and the images may look like it was a sunny summers day, but I'm afraid it wasn't. Of course we were rapped up but poor Nicki had to brave the weather in thin sports clothes.

But the images we captured were worth the discomfort and she is thrilled with the results. Hopefully you'll agree. Just let us know if you are looking for your own fitness shoot as summer is just around the corner.

Until the next time, happy snapping.

Fitness Shoots

We're very excited here at D&M as we're getting ready for a few fitness shoots. In preparation for this we have been giving a change of clothes to our normal fashion shoots and tried to cross over.

What do you think?

Of course our lovely model Ellie also had a great shoot and looked great no mater what she wore.

Keep looking out for our full fitness shoots over the ext couple of months

Until next time, happy snapping.

Checking the Light.

We were asked to attend a company New Year Event that was black tie and in a wonderfully impressive hotel.

We thought we'd dress the part and as we needed to test the light before the clients hit the Champagne Bar we thought we'd do a few posh selfies.

The night was a great success as everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves with the meal and dancing afterwards. We didn't get to see to much of course as we were busy capturing everyone in the finery.

Don't forget if you need someone to join your party and capture it, we do love to join in.

Until next time, happy snapping,

New Born Photography

I have said it before but the first 2 weeks of a new born is a busy time. They have to meet all the family and learn about so many wonderful things in their new life. This unfortunately means they do miss a golden opportunity.

Within the first 2 weeks the images you can make are so different any other time. As they are not so aware of their environment it means we can put them into a comfortable and pleasing positions with the loving Mum and Dad only a few inches away.

Little Freya and family had a relaxed shoot at home with us as we turned up and used their own house as a studio for a few hours. This does of course take away some of the worry of bringing all required paraphernalia of having a baby on the move.

If you have any questions about how we can help you or how you can book a shoot with us, then please just drop by the website for contact details.

So happy New Year and hope to see you soon. Until then, happy snapping.

Winter Blues Make Over.

Thinking of ways to clear the winter blues? Well we are told by many people that they feel really Amazing after Marta has spent a little time making over and I relax them in front of the camera.

As you can see the result show for themselves what great set of images you can come out with after a short session

You don't have to be a professional model to look amazing in front of the camera, but it helps if you have someone professional working behind it. :-)

Just contact us and ask about your very own session, it can start from as little as £40 and at the moment the top price for a complete individual shoot is £135. Make up can be added for £35, we look forward to hearing from you.

Until then, happy snapping.

When you take up photography you may have some very fixed ideas of what you’ll be doing. You might imagine shooting in Paris for Vogue or GQ, with the beautiful people of the modelling world.

But the reality of being a paid photographer means you can be asked to photograph some unusual and surreal things. I am regularly called upon by a national theatre to pop in for head shots, promotional images etc, but now and then they do throw me a curve ball. On this occasion

I was asked to photograph a mannequin for a ‘Puppet Conference’ called ‘No Strings’ and given the task to make him look lifeless and stringless. Well that’s easy right?

Well I'm happy with the way these images came out and love the detail of the puppet. I have to say the variety of photography is just staggering and what can be a great subject for it. Until next time, happy snapping.
