Couples Outdoor Shoot

The weekend was fantastic. Not only did we have loads of sun, but we also had two great models to take out in the great outdoors.

You don't need a studio to take some wonderful and loving pictures. These are great for both Anniversary, Christmas Presents or fantastic for advertising your engagement to everyone. 

With the right location you can add such a personal touch that a plain white background can't give you. Of course studio work is awesome, but sometimes you might want to think of alternative locations that can give your pictures an edge.

New Proteus Show.

We were asked to pop along to Proteus's New show 'Shakers',  

John Godber's sparkling writing builds on the success of his earlier 'Bouncers' to create a richly absorbing yet tellingly revealing modern comedy. Based around 4 women working in a bar which is meant to be the place to be.

You can see the show in 'The Tea Bar' in Basingstoke on the 26th and 27th of March. Tickets available on wegottickets.com/proteustheatre, or in person from The Tea Bar or Creation Space.

BakedIn

We were invited along to Bakedin's Kitchen to experience them in action.

 The team served us up some amazing cookie and iced cinnamon swirls. We got some action shots for them as well as some individual pictures.

They are a new business taking the worry out of baking. They provide some great options that are easy to cook and taste fantastic. All ingredients are of the highest quality which adds to the taste.

Test Shoot.

We had a fun morning setting up the studio for a couple of models who wanted to increase their portfolios. Problem was one didn't show, calling off at the last moment. So what to do with the spare time? Why not ask the Makeup artist to have a go in front of the camera.

Bar Work. Photography in a local Club.

Thanks to a very kind Bar Owner in Basingstoke, I was able to shot Kate, a local model in a great location.
Myself, Marta and Kate turned up with enough kit, it looked like we were permanently moving in, but this didn't phase Ernie. Marta got to work with makeup as I started setting up for the shoot.

Kate when completed with makeup and wardrobe began to do her work and we got down to some bar shots for her online portfolio.

A few change of clothes were used and the hours flew past, it is of course hard work so a little refreshment  was required for all the hard working people. Here is Kate enjoying her's.

1st Birthday Party

This weekend we had the pleasure of meeting a wonderful family in Hampshire who had asked us to capture some of the family moments at a 1st Birthday Party.

Hopefully you can see from the pictures that the family and friends where happy and relaxed. We were a little shocked at how little the young ones were affected by our camera and lights.

We love mobile photography, as wonderful as it is to get studio shots the family surroundings can really add to the photos and certainly make the children more comfortable.

We spent the first 10 minutes just sitting around and without taking any pictures then sprang into the set up.
